If there's one thing I'm good at, it's following my intuition. Flowing with the moment when it's time to chill, and taking action when my body says 'go'. This week was about switching up the routine to make myself a little more comfortable. Adjusting my pace to the warming atmosphere, and torrential rains.
My thought process went a little like this:
I'm tired of painting faces, paint something else.
Straighten my hair, humidity be damned.
Voice memo my best friend
I don't feel like editing my podcast, but I can upload the segments to my computer.
I haven't talked to my parents in a bit, let me call them.
My phone has been cracked and glitching for almost 6 months, get a new one.
Reactivate IG, so I can keep in contact with friends.
Go on a hike with babe & leave my phone at home.
(The image to the left and in the background above are from said hike).
Walk really fast, and for long distances.
Paint really S L O W and show no one.
It was a week full of green lights, and steady "Go's". I realized more than ever the only blocks I ever experience are derived from self. But sometimes the only way to make it through those dark nights, are to sleep them off and wake the next morning full of verve.
